Stretching Massage Therapy

Stretching

Stretching is just necessary, regardless of individual activity level.  Stretching is necessary to keep muscles, flexible, strong, healthy and maintain good range of motion in the joints. The question is…..do all muscles need to be stretched all the time?  The answer is no.  With a proper postural assessment the therapist can determine whether a muscle is short and tight and needs to be stretched or if the muscle is long and taut (like a guitar string) and therefore needs to be treated in a way that relieves the stress off the muscle to avoid tearing and restore proper length.

Stretching is an included therapy in the N Balance protocol, not a separate service.  By including specific stretching techniques during the medical massage we can achieve better, longer lasting results with less damage to the tissue.
